  • How do I install the ground sockets?

    1. Find a sunny spot and pay particular attention to surrounding shrubs, trees and fences so the rotary dryer can spin around freely. The exact amount of space required for every rotary dryer is specified on the packaging.
    2. Dig a hole according to the diagram.
    3. Mix approx. 20 litres of concrete with some water (earth-moist) in a ratio of 5 parts sand to 1 part cement. Hold the ground socket upright in the hole and fill it up.
    4. Using a spirit level check whether the ground socket is correctly positioned in the ground vertically by inserting the rotary dryer in the ground socket. Make sure that the ground socket protrudes from the ground to allow the cover to be attached.
    5. Allow the concrete to harden over several days before use.

  • What can I do if only one part of the line (e.g. a quarter) on my Linomatic rotary dryer is not closed or opened?

If one of the lines on the rotary arm becomes jammed, this could result in the line not closing or opening properly, or even sagging.

If the lines are jammed, carefully remove the caps on the rotary arms and straighten the jammed lines again. You're welcome to email our Consumer Service (info@leifheit.com, Subject "Jammed line") or call on 0800 5 34 34 34 to request illustrated instructions.

  • How can I tension the rotary dryer lines?

If the lines on the rotary dryer are not completely tensioned after being pulled, you can push the slide ring up one or two latch holes until the lines are re-tensioned.

  • How do I look after my rotary dryer?

The rotary dryer should be cleaned when open approx. 2-3 times a year.
For this, you should spray the line shafts with silicon spray or teflon spray.
Likewise, you can clean the aluminium central pole with spirit and then grease with Vaseline.

  • What is the diameter of the central pole of the rotary dryer?

The diameter of the central pole is always 50 mm for our rotary dryers (except LinoPush 400). This ensures that a Leifheit ground socket that has been concreted can be used for the next Leifheit rotary dryer too. Please note that our rotary dryers should only be used with our original ground sockets or screw-in ground pegs.

The following rotary dryer models do not fit into the screw-in ground peg:

        LinoPush 400 & 500
        LinoLift 500
        Linoprotect 400

These rotary dryers are sold/delivered with a compatible ground socket.

  • How long is the diagonal of the rotary dryer?

We are happy to inform you of the dimension of the diagonal of our different rotary dryers:

    Linomatic 400 / Linomatic 400 Comfort / Linomatic 400 Deluxe: 3.03 m
    Linomatic 500 Comfort / Linomatic 500 Deluxe / Linomatic Plus 500: 3.28 m
    Linomatic 600 Deluxe / Linomatic Plus 600: 3.52 m

    LinoProtect 400: 3.03 m
    LinoLift 600 / LinoLift 600 QuickStart: 2.79 m
    Linotrend 500 Longline: 2.60 m

Please make sure that you add another 1 m to this value. The rotary dryer is freely rotatable and needs about 0.5 m space around the rotary dryer.

  • How can I tension the lines on the wall mounted drying racks Rollfix and Rollquick?

We recommend re-tensioning the lines as follows:

Pull out all 5 rows together to the stop point and guide the lines back evenly. The rows of lines will all have the same length afterwards.

  • What is the difference between the wall mounted drying racks Rollfix and Rollquick?

The difference between both products Rollfix and Rollquick is only in design and guarantee period.

Since the Rollquick model is a special campaign model, this has a 2-year guarantee. The Rollfix model has a guarantee period of 3 years and features a slightly more rounded design,

The dimensions and functions are exactly the same.
